Receivables Aging: Reading the Report That Predicts Your Cash Crisis

What the buckets actually mean

An aging report groups everything customers owe you into buckets by how overdue it is — typically not-due, 0-30, 31-60, 61-90 and 90+ days.

The total owed matters less than the shape of the buckets: a large 90+ bucket is a warning sign even if your total receivables number looks healthy.

Reading it as an early-warning system

The report becomes useful the moment you check it weekly instead of at month-end — a customer sliding from 0-30 into 31-60 is exactly when a follow-up call is cheap and effective, before it becomes a write-off conversation.

LedgrBook builds this report from the same invoices and payments you already record, so there's no separate spreadsheet to keep current.

LedgrBook handles this automatically. The parts of this guide your bills already know.
